  1. I really expect two things from a host. They should stay up and they should have back-ups. My current host apparent host isn't of the same mind set as me, though. They had a hard-drive failor and it deleted my account and everything on it. They had no back-ups. They didn't even tell me what happened until two days later when I tracked them down. Mistakes happen. I dealt with loss. The problem was that their reaction was, "I'm sorry. It's not in our relm of guarantees, though. Have fun rebuilding." My question to you is if you offer any kinds of guarantees. As I said, mistakes happen, but it's nice getting the feeling that your host actually cares about you. Just something like, "Gee. I'm sorry. Here, have an extra bandwidth for this month," would be good.
