I need to change the collation of all my database to be utf8 to fix a problem with text appearing as question marks. I tried it with phpmyadmin on some tables in the db and it worked. Now how do i change the whole db because changing each table is a tedious job. This is for a Vanilla 1.1.2 Arabic forum and it's set to use utf8 encoding. But currently mysql connects to the db using latin1 encoding. I tried creating a new db with phpmyadmin with collation utf8, but got an error message saying i don't have access to this new db. Thanks for that. But I am having diffuclites with the corn job. I tried "wget http://mydomain/wordpress/wp-mail.php" every other minute, but it didn't work. I tried using "GET" instead of "wget" but that also didn't work.

How can I unzip a file with cPanel to a specific directory and to replace existing files there? I uploaded MovableType upgrade pack to my site and now want to unpack it to my MT directory and update the files. I don't want to use an ftp program to do this. Regards, AbuJenin

I can go to the file by CPanel File Manager. But I cannot view, edit, or copy it. Its permission is set to 600, and I couldn't change that either. All users prefrence files in this data directory (user@example.com.pref) created by Squirrelmail and have permission set to 600. AbuJenin

Squirrelmail user preference file, which is created when a user logs in, has access permission set to 600. When I log to cpanel, I cannot even read this file. How can I access this file? AbuJenin

I did upload squirrelmail the safe way using cpanel. As you said, it was a problem with config.php, maybe from an error the last time I edited it; deleting the old config.php and editing a new one solved the problem. Thanks Dennis AbuJenin

I made the correction to the /data path in config.php; and after trying to log in, it created a ahmed@jenin.ws.pref file there.
