  1. I've been using Easy Thumbnails for a couple of years now, really great piece of software. Even compresses pictures where you don't resize or drop quality! Irfanview looks nice too, though, and I may give it a try. Something that's not a resizer, but vastly improves the quality of some photos, is a little program I found called DCEnhancer, which is a freeware version of DC AutoEnhance, both to be found at MediaChance. (Direct link to the products here.) I find it absolutely invaluable when I'm enhancing pictures taken on my digital camera - I go to a lot of gigs, and usually my photos from them are pretty dark and dull; this totally brings them to life (although it can whack the file size up a bit, and that's where Easy Thumbnails comes in handy ). On one of my pictures, when I enhanced it I discovered there was a band member in the resulting picture who you couldn't even see in the original one! AutoEnhance has a batch conversion facility in it (though personally I like to check my pics one by one) and a lot more features than DCEnhance, but it's $35 (you can get a 30-day trial on the site). DCEnhance is completely free though... Have a look and see what you think
  2. Excellent, that's all I needed to know, thanks! Wouldn't be giving away any of my space, I just wanted a bit of clarity between content, that's all
  3. Hello First off, I just wanted to say that I came across your company almost by accident - one of those "link from a forum off another forum off yet another forum" situations - and you're by far the most reliable looking host I've seen on my travels! (This info from findmyhosting.com mainly, but I love my Google searches too... they've turned up some pretty discouraging things about a few hosts I'd previously considered reputable... ) I am on the verge of signing up with you, but I just wanted to know one thing... I am well aware that I cannot host two separate domains on the same account unless it is a reseller account; but would I be able to have more than one site hosted on my webspace? I'm not talking tons of massive sites that are a total drain on resources - far from it - just a few small sites that I can have subdomains point at. This probably sounds like a very daft question (I don't want to make a total prat of myself!), but I just wanted to make sure, as the sites I have built and previously hosted on free space are pretty different and wouldn't "fit" under one big site blanket, if you know what I mean Thanks a lot; take care!
