  1. Uggghhh...That was it....Man, I was going crazy with this. Thank you, alot!
  2. I am attempting to setup an e-mail account via Cpanel. I setup the e-mail. I then attempt to configure Outlook 2003 using the settings described on this site. Everything works until I click on "Test Account Settigns" and all is good until the last step 'Sending Test Email', and it says it could not connect, etc, etc..... If I send that account an e-mail from AOL (for instance) I can read it, but I cannot send, or reply emails. It says something like this... - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook is unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).' Any help is appreciated...
  3. Sweet. Thanks. Like I said - about two years an NO problems, that's why I didn't want to go too crazy annoying people in the backrooms - figured it would be cleared up. No rush.
  4. I guess there is a problem with my site? www.turbomike.net http://turbomike.net/ I am no genius at this so bear with me... Should I do anything like notify an administrator? This is the first time in about 2 years that I have ever had a problem. It says "A website isn't configured here, etc,etc..." I don't really have a site, I just use it to store files, movies, and pictures for friends and family. Thanks in advance... MJB
  5. Hello. I have a 60gig hard drive that I partitioned into two 30's. I need to run WinMe on one part, and WinXP Pro on the other. I alredy put WinME on the first Part, but I am trying to put WinXP on the other Part, but the computer wants to always start on the C: drive (Win ME). How can I have this setup work for me? Is there any way to select when I start the computer which OS I want to run? Thanks, MJB
  6. I did a search, and looked around a bit, but I don't know how to add bandwidth. I got a e-mail that said I have exceeded my limit, and to contact an admin. Who is an admin? I remember reading somewhere that adding 1gig was $2.50 or something. MJB
  7. Great. Thanks for the speedy reply. Like you said, I'll just have to keep an eye on it, and make sure no one takes advantage of the files I have on there. MJB
  8. I have the silver plan, and mostly use TCH so that I can send videos to friends and family. Well, seems like someone took a liking to one of my vids, and it circulated all over the internet, and in three days I used up 17Gigs of bandwidth. But here's my question - What exactly is bandwidth? Let's say I have a file that is 20 megs. If 1,000 people "Right Click Save As" that file from my site, will that count as my 20Gigs of bandwidth? What if they just click on the file and stream the video without downloading it to their computer. Which is better to keep the bandwidth useage to a minimum? Are there any tricks or secrets to keeping bandwidth useage to a minimum? Thanks, MJB
  9. Well, I think I finally got it figured out. So all you very helpful folk can probably cut me loose until I'm ready to actually make a website. But let me give this site a BIG thumbs-up for the IMMEDIATE help. Makes me glad I decided to get the hosting done here, and I will be sure to tell all my friends about the good service. Thanks again... MJB
  10. Oh. Was I supposed to read that e-mail??
  11. Ok. Then, what do I keep doing wrong. When I get the properties for the file it gives me the /frontend/x/.... file, where did you get the /~qewselwv/images.... one from????
  12. Ok. Another noob question: I uploaded a video to my public_html images folder. I get the http location by clicking on properties, but when I try and link the video from other websites I get a message that the Internet Explorer cannot open this site. http://66.235.184.119:2082/frontend/x/file...Pro1Qualify.wmv Usually I would right click - save as, but it seems like it's no good. Do I need to change the permissions for that file in order to access it? TIA, MJB
  13. Yeah. I think the spaces are the problems. That should work..
  14. Well, here's the link: http://66.235.184.119:2082/frontend/x/file...c_html&file=FFW Etown 012.jpg Even I can't view it when I click on "View File Contents". It shows up as a Red X. Mad!!! MJB P>S> When I just tried to post the pic in here using the IMG tag, it said "Sorry, Dynamic pages in the IMG tags are not allowed.
  15. Forgive me, but I don't know what the hell I'm doing. I am fairly good with computers, but the "web-hosting" thing is all new to me (so REALLY dumb-down any information you may have for me). Let me elaborate - I don't want a real website, I just want a place to post some pictures of my various activities so that friends/family can view them. I also want friends/family to be able to download any videos I may have for them that are too big to send via e-mail. So I just signed up today, got the confirmations that my site is up, so I go on the Cpanel and try to post a picture. I went to public_ftp folder, and uploaded a picture (jpeg). The file size is listed correctly, but when I click on "show contents of file" all I get is the red X! If I click on properties and try and link the picture from another website, I get the red X. What did I miss. I thought this would be easy. Thanks in advance. MJB
