I noticed a few forums who actually converted from phpbb to invision because they said it was more customizable now that i read this have second thoughts about my phpbb forums. I was wondering what are the main differences between the 2 and how hard is it to convert. Secondly where would i get the software from

Im installing PHPNUKE if you go to www.wiredgamerz.com/PHPNUKE and try to acess the html directory you cant. This directory contains all the important files needed for isntalling it and for some reason i cant acess this folder.

I just added a news program to my site called phpnews it aint great but its all i could find in php. If anyone knows a good news program thats layed out sorta in table format and doesnt require you to click on annoying links to see the news and is easy to install please notify me. An example of the layout of news im looking for is this style http://simcityuptown.cjb.net. If you look at mine www.wiredgamerz.com/phpnews it aint great at all. PS doesnt have to be in php just easy to install

before you guys leave i tried entering this before this post and it didnt work thats y i asked. Said could not connect to database ps. if the prefix for tables in database has to do with it its default in the installation was phpbb_ and i kept this if this has anything to do with it..

As for invision vrs phpbb2 i rather go with the phpbb2 as im more familiar with it and i already got half of it set up. As for changing permissions thanks alot thats just what i needed. Now i tried changing permissions to be writtable by all to the public_html like the instructions for phpbb2 said but i changed permissions to the public_html instead of the config.php by mistake. I chagned back permissions of public html to only the user and fixed the config.php file permissions. But now when i try to acess my site it says acess forbidden and i cant do anything on it. I also am having huge problems now. My phpbb2 folder which waws held in the public_html i just cant find. I cant open any folders in public html via ftp client or file permissions. I have no clue whats going on and how can i get this all fixed.

I need to know 2 things. One is do i have shell acess to my account with this service. I just am working on my site now and ran into problems installing phpbb2 forums when i got to changing permissions. The second thing is how do i change permissions to my config.php file.
