  1. Is FTP a better method of file transfer or just easier access to files. My client is using a Mac and not very computer saavy. I set up an FTP site and it worked well with SmartFTP but I couldn't seem to access it directly from Internet Explorer. Would a Mac user also require FTP software for access? Thanks for all the suggestions!
  2. Thanks for the suggestions. I prefer the download link as well, but they were able to download one file, but they weren't able to open 2 others. I don't know why. I did figure out a way to attach files that I had stored on the server, but apparently Total Choice set's a limit on file size sent out via webmail. I received the following message from Total Choice: "Mail Delivery System [Mailer-Daemon@server58.totalchoicehosting.com] A message that you sent was longer than the maximum size allowed on this system. It was not delivered to any recipients..." It didn't say what the file limit is though. I will try the download link again. Will it help file transfer if file is Stuffed or Zipped even if file size is not much smaller?
  3. Is there a way send a large (35 MB) Powerpoint file stored on my web site to someone else's webmail address from via my webmail? I tried using Horde by attaching the file but it started to download to my computer. I was hoping to just send it from server to server without download/upload time. If there a limit to what file size can be sent via email, what is it? The recipient had some problems when trying to download the file from the online storage area. I did not have any problem downloading so I think it might be "operator error". That's why I'm looking for a way to "deliver" the file to their emial box instead. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! Ron
  4. I have read some great reviews of Total Choice and am looking forward to opening an account, but I have a few questions. Sorry if any of them are obvious answers that I missed in the FAQ. 1. I want to post some samples of my portfolio as streaming Quicktime or Real Video files but I have not seen this feature included as an option for your service. Can I do this? 2. I tried to "test-drive" the Control Panel at http://cpaneldemo.cpanel.net:2082/ but my browser could not access that page. Is that a working link? 3. I couldn't find any mention of a telephone number to contact Total Choice. is that available? 4. Is there a setup fee for Starter or Silver Plans? Thanks for your help with these questions! Thumbs Up
