I think WordPress is excellent and vote for that. I disagree with Arvind's statement You do not need any php knowledge to get it running, but if you want to customize it then knowledge of php is useful. The support forums are generally very helpful and the installation is normally very easy. hth Phillip

Hi, I've just noticed that if you are playing an audio only file in Real Player, if you click in the main area you can change what the sheep is wearing and its colours. I knew that you could play around in Windows Media Player and have spent too long changing the visualisations, but because I always minimize RP unless it's video I'd never noticed before. Only now did I realise that you can change the sheep as well. Just right click and you have a few choices. It's very what you miss. Hi, I'm trying to validate my RSS feeds from my Wordpress powered site. I get this error message: Your feed appears to be encoded as "utf-8", but your server is reporting "US-ASCII" Can somebody explain that in plain English for me? Hi, I'm trying to run a couple of scripts that require GD library 2.0+. The scripts don't work properly and at the moment the only thing in common with each other is the GD requirement. I know that TCH has these scripts installed but do I need to do anything to activate them? TIA Phillip

Ok, for anybody who is interested here's what I found. This great little script automatically creates a clean tabular page that can be edited with CSS. You simply drop the file (Index.php) into the directory you want to use and everything is done for you. You can edit this file for a few options like table width and colours. There is also the option of adding a description file to the directory that the index files can use. That's the only file you have to update manually. The index file validates in both XTHML 1.1 and CSS 2. Lastly, there's also a number of language translations. http://www.bitfolge.de/snif-en.html HTH Phillip

Hi, I have a list of files (exe, zip and rar) in a folder and I have decided to stop using the download software I had installed. I have reverted back to an index page where the files are simply listed and can be ordered by name, size, last modified and description. What I can't seem to add to the files is a description. I have tried adding information to all the fields in the file properties box and then uploading that to the folder but the description remains blank. Does anybody have any ideas? TIA Phillip

(You'll see what I mean if you play it with a mouse.) Restarting has the annoying feature of taking you right back to the beginning. Phillip

I had recently installed a phpBB forum about an hour before this problem. I have check the db's (via phpmyadmin) and the server status page (57) and everything seems OK. The code in the menu is supposed to retrieve 2 random images from my Coppermine gallery. I checked the gallery and again everything seems to be working. Any ideas? /Edit/ (1minute later) Since spell checking this post another side menu item has stopped working, that was working when the other two stopped (if that makes sense!) /Second Edit/ (1 hour later) Even though I made no changes it's now working fine.
