Yes I created the database Yes I created a user Yes I added the user to the database In the error message you can see that set up was able to connect to the database successfully, but 2 lines further down it wasn't able to select the database.

I'm trying to install MediaWiki (version 1.6.7 because TCH isn't running PHP 5) and I'm getting the following error during setup. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. (I've modified the name in the error message for security reasons.) Thanks! Rick
