Hello everyone, I am extremely frustrated and frankly not sure I can explain the situation clear enough to find a solution.
Whenever I use ANY ftp client with a successful connection
example: cute ftp and or the ftp client that comes with xp home addition. I am then after the fact unable to log onto my domain via the add network option. I keep getting the same response
The folder you have entered does not appear to be valid....
Now, I have several websites I manage. This ONLY takes place with a site that I have previously ftp'd and it has happened on more than one occassion.
Generally I unplug my router and take the cable line out. Hoping that it is the feed that is being blocked, the DNS or whatever (not a tech head) smile. And after several hours it seems to be affective. This time it is not.
I have posted the question with our trouble shooting dept. And due to the fact that they are able to "ftp" my domain they asked me to come here and post my question.
So, I would like to be clear I CAN ftp I just can't log on via xp's network connection.
