  1. Jack-Thanks for the info. I'll see if I can find a merchant provider for Guam. 2. What url do I enter to To view the "formrslt.htm"? How can one of my staff access this info?
  2. I think I'm at the point that I know enough to be dangerous to the sites I've created so I need to stop and ask others what to do. I've searched this and other forums but still don't have enough information. What I'm trying to accomplish thru the shared ssl is to have a customer input their cc number, and then I download it from the web. I think I should be able to extract the info from the form created when they enter the info. So...here's where I am. I'm attempting to retrieve a form that in my ""_private" folder so after reading as much on this and other forums I have a two part question. (The info is getting on the form). 1. Permissions: I know how to set them but which ones do I choose. Right now I've checked all of them and the code is 777 (public and private). 2. What url do I enter to To view the "formrslt.htm"? I alredy use the email option on the form to send some data, but obviously don't want the cc info emailed so I will make another fomr when I figure out how retrieve it. ??????? Any help would be appreciated. Pete
  3. Thanks to all that have responded. Here'e whaer I stand (or have fallen). 1. I have created at least 10 forms using frontpage to get one to work. All are the simplest I can make and consist of only a couple of text blocks and a submit button. The form output is to a file called formresults.txt that is in the correct (private) folder on the site. 2. The forms were published using frontpage procedures and not via ftp. 3.Frontpage extensions have been loaded / unloaded, and re-installed a number of times using the cp panel. 4. It appears that frontpage is changing the ccoding when it published the form as the "northbots.htm" is not on the page when it's created. Having said all of this I an a novice when it comes to forms, web design, etc., but in the past have created an entire website that has done very well for our business. It's very possible and very likely that I'm doing something wrong. What I'd like to request is that IF anyone is using frontpage 2002 and has forms that work correctly I would love to communicate directly with you via email and show you the exact path, etc. that I'm taking, and also give you the capability of seing the pages on the site. Right now it's in a development stage. Anyone interesteed?? pete@deepblueguam.com.
  4. Jim, The coding for "northbots.htm" is not in the form as it's created on my computer. When I go in and look at the source coding after I upload it (cute ftp) it's adding it in. I think this must be some type of frontpage extension problem. I'm going to un-install them and then re-install them. The saga continues...
  5. OK, After spending 3 days searching to try to figure out why my Frontpage 2002 simple test form, which was created by the form wizard nd uploaded onto the site, keeps giivng me this error: Not Found The requested URL /_derived/nortbots.htm was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Apache/1.3.28 Server at www.deepblueguam.com Port 80 More supportive comments (I hope): 1. The FP extensions are loaded onto the server (TCH). 2. The form is very simple and can be found at www.deepblueguam.com/test1.htm. This is a soon to be developed site and is in the testing process, so I'm not trying to sell anything. 3. I suspect it's in the coding on the page as created by Frontpage, but I'm lost, frustrated, and will resort to serious drinking if I can't get an answer to this. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. First, I'm very new at setting up a frontpage form on a website, but here is what is happening. The site has all pages made with FP and the frontpage extensions are loaded on the server. I've submitted a generic html form generated by front page as a test. The form was put on the site using cuteftp. When I try and enter very basic info iinto the form this is whats returned by the server: The requested URL /--WEBBOT-SELF-- was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. What is happening? I really don't know enough to be able to figure out what this means, so the second part of this is to ask if theres a good on-line tutorial about how to place and retrieve info from a form. I hope I'm giving enough info to get some tupe of answer, but if not please let me know what else I need to add. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Wow, never expected a replies so fast. More and more I'm seeing the great "cast and crew" of TCH. Very much appreciated. So, if you ever get to Guam you have a frfee day of diving on me. www.mdaguam.com. Pete
  8. I dont have a clue as to whether or not I'm putting this post in the right place, but there seems to be quite a few that respond so I'm hoping I get lucky. Best case scenerio: I want to have some way of having others who use our travel services simple enter their credit card info, number, expiration date, etc. WTHOUT having the card processed through an e-commerce system. All I want to see on our end is the card info and we will process it here. Problem: We have no idea how to do this. I'm sure we have to get an ssl certificte for our site, but beyond that we are lost. Thumbs Up Any ideas or tutorials that you know of would gladly be accepted and a day of free diving if you ever get to Guam.
