I am using the updated one. I did change the permissions back on the php file and everything is still working, so it appears that my initial error was with the script. Go figure...told you I was a newbie. Thanks again for all your help!

Bruce, I am using the latest version of Wordpress along with the Postie Plugin that allows posting blogs via email. When it tried to execute it returned an error that permission was denied. Now it could have been because I had the script setup wrong, but when I looked at the permissions execute was not checked. I will try to uncheck it and see if it still works. -Eric

Hey Guys, Thanks for the help. I had a few other issues also. I setup the script to run only at 5 past midnight so it wasn't going to run until then anyways. Then I didn't give myself executable privilage on the php file. So it appears all is working correctly now and your help is greatly appreciated.! -Eric

Thanks Bruce for the help and for moving the thread to the correct spot. I am still getting not able to get this to work though. I followed the steps listed in the movie and used the code snippet you posted but it doesn't seem to be running. I am not even getting any kind of errors emailed to the email address that I am putting in the email field of the cron job page. If the job was kicking off some type of error I would expect it to at least email something to me. I also was under the impression that it should actually email something to me on failure or success. Any additional ideas? I know the php file is working correctly because when I type it into my web browser I get the desired results that I was expecting, so it isn't the php file. Thanks, -Eric

I need to create a cron job that will run a php file. I am completely ignorant to cron jobs so any assistance would be appreciated. Here is the example that was given to me from the documentation of WordPress: source-- *****/wp-content/plugins...ie/get_mail.php Thanks again for the help. -Eric

I was looking at installing mod_dav so that I could test some calendar sharing with Sunbird. Now, I really don't know how it works but from reading the information that I have gotten so far the mod_dav needs Apache 1.3.4 and by looking at my cpanel I see that TotalChoice only has Apache 1.3.3. Do different servers have different versions of Apache running by chance? I have three different accounts on three different servers, but I can't remember my login for two of them. I have just finished building my site on TCH and I am getting ready to change the DNS from the old server to here. The question I have relates to email. Currently we have our email hosted through another company that is seperate from our current web hosting company. I am going to have all the hosting done here since I have already paid for it. All of our mail boxes are setup on the other server and the mail is being retrieved via IMAP. Is there anyway to import all the folder structures and email from the current email hosting server to TCH? I have 16+ months of emails saved on this server that for various reasons I can not lose. I don't want to have to put them on my local machine and would prefer to move them to the TCH server if possible. Thanks for the help, -Eric

Jim, Thanks for the quick response! I just read that I can not transfer the domain name until after 60days has passed. Can I still do this with this hosting company without transfering the domain name yet? Once I cancel my hosting with the first site will I still be able to point my domain name to your location? Sorry if these are really basic questions I just don't want to have to go thru this again in a few days. -Eric

I just signed up with another hosting company last night and registered my domain name with them. After all of that I found out that the items that I needed for my website are not provided on their hosting system. It looks like this hosting site would work perfectly, but I wanted to know how can I go about signing up with this service and changing my domain name to here? Can I do this as soon as the DNS is finished updating? Thanks, -Eric
