Other info which might be helpful: My PC is PC400 motherboard PIV 1600 128 DDR Ram 20 GB HDrive 3Dforce2 mx 32 tv video win2000 system dont know if any other info might be important

I have a slight problem The thing is my computer freezes for a few secconds and stops working. This takes about 10 sec. and then it keeps on working. When this happens a sound comes from inside the tower like a shutting down sound, but the PC never restarts at all. It only freezes and thes keeps working. I use W2000 and using the CPU usage utility I can track what happens. My CPU appears to be working at 20% usage, but when this happens thge usage falls to 0%. I really dont know what it could be, hope someone helps me thanks
