Well I appreciate that little bit of information, that explains why I have been having the results that I have, so if I'm understanding you correctly all the places on the internet who are just telling you how to exclude yourself from Awstats are just full of so much BS - this whole idea of SkipHost and all the stuff it stays about changing the DNSL from 0 to 1 ect...it's all bogus? It seems strange that there were could lines like SkipHost or Skip DSNL look up etc if you can't really do that.
It would seem to me that few if any one would want every trip they make to check on their own websites to be recorded as traffic at all. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me that it is set up the way you say it is, but I don't doubt your word because I know I have done the changes and they do not stay.
Again I don't know why it's even an option for me to get to that Awstats section at all much less lead me to believe that I can edit it and "Save Changes" when in fact I'm just wasting my time. I find it all very irritating the lack of common sense in whoever set up the cPanel and Awstats to operate that way. What a pain in the you know what!
AT least now I know I was doing everything right, it's the program itself that makes no sense and has bad design..or at least that is my humble opinion.
Thanks
