  1. Hello, I use a program to analyze my log files on my own computer (Web Log Storming - from dataland: http://www.datalandsoftware.com) and for that I need to download my raw logs every day. I have this pretty well automated for several of my sites (not hosted by TC) using a .bat file to download them. The problem with TC is that my raw logs are only available at the end of the month. The logs from the current day is accessible through CPanel, but I don't see how I can do this through a .bat file (using FTP). Any hints?? Gert
  2. That's a pity. Gert
  3. I tried several ways to create a secure ftp connection to my ftp account: SFTP - port 22 FTPSnodata - port 21 FTPSwithdata - port 21 FTPSimplicit - port 990 They all failed. I could not find any info on this, but does TC support secure FTP? Gert
  4. Thanks! Gert
  5. Nick, Just to make sure I understand this correctly: Say I am on a dialup account, with a new IP after every reboot. If I reboot my computer, and immediately send a message to 'my' smtp server (mail.amazingfile.com) without first checking my email it will fail? If, on the other hand, I reboot, check my mail (using pop authentication), and then send an email it will work? If this is correct, then it is nicely configured! I feel safe again. Gert
  6. BTW, after I posted this message, I received a page with the message "Failed at Mail command". Gert
  7. Hi, I have been wondering about this. With most (all?) email accounts you have to authenticate when reading your POP mail. I would expect the same for sending messages using smtp, but most smtp servers do not require you to login. Some smtp servers are configured to check if you are on the same network as them (you get a "relaying not allowed" message if not). It seems that the smtp servers of TCH are completely open. I am a bit worried about this, wouldn't spammers have an easy time using 'our' smtp servers??? Thanks for your time, Gert
