Recently I've found a package called ACEMail which can finally handle my not-default email accounts create from cpanel. But for my site it cannot handle any attachment. The recent version is ACEMail-Reloaded.zip and you may check some discussions here: http://www.nukecops.com/postlite10678-.html ...and you may want to make a good backup of the database before you decided to give it a try

Thanks Alan! and actually quite a few raised this problem at the nukecop forum but still no hope solving it Wish that I could be so able to write a whole web application myself like you guys without relying on phpnuke or xoops-kind of packages!!! ....but anyway, phpnuke seems to have better compatibility with Chinese characters at my backend database and I will try to dig more deeper in the code.

Hi all, I am trying phpnuke 7 and have encounter some problems using the email accounts I created with my cpanel. The default account (that is the one I obtained when registering TCH service) can read with phpnuke webmail, but other accounts are just not working in phpnuke...either with "Error: (Full Load)" or "Error: (quick cache v9)". Any advise? Pelon

Dear everybody, After a whole day's struggling with it, I still cannot figure out what's wrong. I can see "tchmike" (is that you, Mike?) registered successfully, but can you login? I even had downloaded and installed a completely clean installation of the latest version of xoops, but you know what....nobody can login there too!!! Could somebody help please! A million thanks!! By the way, a guy at another forum tell me to "Make sure that the Xoops can read and write to the directory specified for the session.save_path varible for PHP. I guess it is /tmp for my server?? I've changed nothing but strange that my xoops was running for months without such problem! Pelon

Thanks for your help!! the xoops is on http://egbc.love1st.net/home Actually it was just new for a few days so I was still doing a few changes. The problem first appeared at 15/1 afternoon (GMT+8), that morning until 2pm I could still login and logout without any problem, and the last changes near noon were just a few text editing to the translation files which should not cause much problem.

Dear everybody, I need your help! Starting from yesterday nobody (including myself!!) can login into my site (xoops using php+mysql)! Users can type the username + password, the banner pops up saying that the login is successful, but when the front page returns the login box is still there! Different client machines with different cookies settings were tried but still nobody can login...so it should not be the clients/browsers' problem. I've also checked the databases and seems that they are the same as before. The xoops still accept annoymous posting and even new member registration...just the login fails!! I should be on server 35 and shall I make a support request ?

Personally I like Xoops more. it's easier to convert to Chinese (Hi to all from Hong Kong!! ), and sites using PHP-Nuke look somehow very similar... Haven't tried Mambo but tried ezpublish last year....I don't know....I just couldn't stand it and made it vanish 1 hour after I installed it.... By the way, which one do you all think offers a better file downloading/sharing module? I want to try but have not much experience too.

Hi all family members, I am new to TCH (just sign up for 2 days)!! Hello to all of you! Does anybody know how to set up a full text search engine so that people can search the content inside my files (most are microsoft word, excel, etc)? I tried isearch but it only indexes html files. I want to set up a kind of library, and I know that there are a few apps which do the full text indexing by installing a running process on the server (e.g., inktomi and mnogosearch). But I don't think I am allowed to do so on a shared hosting server...
