  1. I have a TCH reseller account with several domains on it. One client is switching to an on-site mailserver, and since their uplink is dynamic, they will use a DNS service from DYNDNS.ORG to map their MX and other DNS records. I've searched TCH's help and forum areas, but it's still unclear to me whether my shared server will correctly handle requests if the dyndns.org nameserver simply resolves to 69.57.134.37. Currently, I can get to the site using http://69.57.134.37/~hrtt which then resolves (forwards?) to http://server30.totalchoicehosting.com/~hrtt But I need to keep the client's URL: www.hudsonrivertruck.com intact. Do I need a dedicated IP so that the IP alone will: (1) work with dyndns's DNS servers and (2) stay set to www.hudsonrivertruck.com ? The domain is currently hosted somewhere else but I hope to move it to TCH this weekend. Thanks, --das dave
  2. Hi, I'm a reseller on another hosting service looking to transfer some light-duty domains to a more reliable and cost-effective hosting company with good support. TCH appears to fit my needs, but search as I may, I have not been able to find the answers to these questions: (1) It's implied that resellers can have multiple domains under their single account, but I see no information about any per-domain charges, only aggregate resource costs (disk & bandwidth). My other host has per-domain, per-FTP, etc. charges... Are such domains "free and unlimited", or subject to added costs, setup charges, or possible content-related restrictions like sub-domains are? (2) Are there limits to the number of parked or small "business card" sized sites created under a single reseller account? [i understand & agree that subdomains should heirachically relate to the parent domain, but my various client sites would be separate & unrelated to one another and therefore not use subdomains at all.] Thanks! --das
