Thanks. I saw that but it did not help. I am attempting to use Eudora 6.2 which is a bit different. Pocomail did the same thing.

I am attempting to set up an email client (eudora, pocomail) and when it asks for the incoming mail server I am using (mail.mydomain.org). However when I go to check mail it attempts to logon to the server as (me@mail.mydomain.org) instad of (me@mydomain.org). Then it returns a message that I ouldn't logon because it is invalid. How is this supposed to be done? What am I doing incorrectly? Thanks.

I figured it out. It ended up being that my albums directory was created with an old version of gallery. I recreated this directory and it worked.

I was able to setup the latest version of gallery on my site, following the installations procedure listed on this site. However when I attempt to complete the installation I receive the following error: Checking user 1 of 4 . . . . Error: Could not open lock file (/home/thedela/public_html/albums/.users/1054781384_1849967119.lock)!failed . Can anyone offer a suggestion for this one?

I can access my website if I use the URL www.thedelahanty.com, however I am having trouble accessing the ftp address of 207.44.248.87. This does not allow me to make any changes to my site as I cannot logon to it. Did something happen with my ftop address? Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks very much for the response. That may have been the problem. I originally changed the file using file manager, then the problem occurred. I since went back into the gallery setup and changed the values there. It now seems to work properly. Note to self and others: When attempting to change values in gallery, use the gallery setup tool and not file manager. Thanks again for the help. It's working again! Kick Me Rock Sign

You all did so well the last time I needed help, here's another challenge. My gallery has been fine since initial setup until today. I tried to modify the config.php file to turn the search option off and now I get the following error on all my pages. I searched the forum, but didn't find a solution that worked for me. Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home/thedela/public_html/gallery/config.php:89) in /home/thedela/public_html/gallery/session.php on line 51 Gallery address is http://www.thedelahantys.com/gallery/ Please somebody come to the rescue! Well, it's me again. I am now having trouble viewing the pictures that I upload. While uploading the pictures I get a seperate window that says it is uploading and after a while I dismiss that window. Then in the main gallery window of the album all I see is box with Red X. Anybody got any ideas. Thanks. Additional info : My Gallery page I read something on the gallery site that it might have to do with a bad setting of the "albums"directory. I have mine set to: albumDir = "/home/thedela/public_html/albums", albumDirURL = "http://server26.totalchoicehosting.com/albums"; photoAlbumURL = "http://server26.totalchoicehosting.com/~thedela/gallery"; Does this sound correct?

Well looks like I got this to work this time. I deleted the gallery directry and reinstalled everthing. I must have missed a step along the way. I think it may have been when resecuring gallery. Thanks to all for the help.

I attempted using CAPS and it told me it was invalid. Can you confirm for me that the user id is 'admin' and the password should be the one entered on page 2 of the setup? I will try to run through set up again later.

Yes. I have tried this. I know initially when I proceeded through the setup, there was a place on page 2 to enter a pswd with userid of admin. When I enter this it gives me the same login box and prompts me to enter it over and over without giving me a message. I could enter it all day long and not get anywhere.

If anybody out there can help the new guy it would be appreciated. I have installed the latest version of gallery on the server following the directions posted on TCH. Now when I go to the url/gallery and click on login it asks me for username/pswd combo. I have tried many combinations and cannot get this to work. Which username/pswd combination should I enter here? Do I need to setup a .htpasswd file somewhere? Excuse me if this has been answered already or is a braindead question. I'm new to TCH and gallery. I have searched the site and he forums but am coming up empty handed. Thanks.
