Thanks, guys, for the welcomes. My partner is trying to install a chat feature on our forum but has to create new variables in order to do this. Since we both are raw newbies, presenting this question is a bit unclear.

What are php variables and special user locks? One of my partners at our forum wants to add a chat room but he needs to create a new php variable and the ability to do this is locked in cpanel.
