  1. All details finally taken care of, everything jelled, this morning I accessed FTP successfully for the first time, and have been working to get Planetary Stories -- planetarystories.com -- back online. Loaded saved files from old site. Moved 'em to www side of FTP. Things were going fine -- and now, abruptly, can't activate FTP! It all happened after I clicked Save Password and Save Configuration. But then I blanked those, signed in fresh, and still couldn't connect. Shelby
  2. Domain name is planetarystories.com; sorry, thought I had mentioned it. And I'm not familiar with cpanel; saw something I could click on to get movies explaining it. Guess I'd better try! Shelby
  3. That helps! As I've said (and is QUITE obvious!) I'm a newbi at this. I have one further question regarding email: How do I go about informing TCH as to what Server I want to handle my email from my readers? ThanxaLOT! Shelby
  4. I don't use Outlook Express, by the way; that's the POP3 server I was never able to set up. I went online and found I could download Eudora for email. Any cautions about Eudora? Shelvy
  5. Sorry, I'm new at this. What I'm wanting to do is be able to have the reaeder click somewhere, a blank email form pops up, and there they can write a letter of comment on my online zine which will then go to some place I can receive and read it. Shelvy
  6. I'm a total newbie. Just set up an account and might even be posting to the wrong forum -- if so, I apologize. Anyway, my question is concerning email accounts. I have had fits trying to set up a POP3 account, and none of my attempts hae worked. Will one of my email accounts be simply a way readers can click, send a message, without me having POP 3? Shelvy
