If someone simply views your web page with an image on it through a browser, it has, for all intent and purposes, already been downloaded to their PC. No way to track that!

But, if you want to actually provide files for downloading, and keep track of who has downloaded it -- well, I'm implementing such a thing right now! You can take a peek at it - but bear in mind, I'm still working on it:

Go to: http://www.irricomp.com/downloadpage.htm and clcik on the link at the bottom of the page. That starts up the CGI script. On that page, you are required to enter name and a valid email address on the left side, and select which file(s) you want to download. Then click Send.

An email is then generated and sent to the email address entered. This is good, because it validates that a correct emailw as entered. In the generated email is a link to select, and the selected files are then sent as an email attachment to the user!
