Trouble Overwriten Files Reappearing

Helllo All,

 

I have been having a very interesting problem this week with my site. I am in the process of building it and so I have been frequently overwriting the old version of files with the new versions.

 

Most of the files are images for my portfolio and some are even html file. So, it uploads and cpanel says the old files were overwritten successfully. When, I go to my site to see if it is still working correctly it has been updated successfully.

 

(I always make sure to clear my browsers history and temp files to make sure I see the new versions.)

 

Well, my problem is that with in a few hours or even the next day, when I go to my site the old versions of the files are back and have overwritten the new versions. This is very frustrating.

 

So, I tried uploading the new versions again, but this time I deleted the old files from the server first and emptied the trash can. Then I uploaded the new files and all was working again. But the next day, which was today, the old versions of my filles overwrote the new ones again.

 

Also, I deleted some .avi files I was no longer using and some other files to clear up disk space and when I checked my site today, these files also magically reappeared on my webspace.

 

Does anyone know what is happening to my site?? OR how to fix this issue??
