Do you allow outgoing socket requests by perl and php? Saw socket support enabled in php, but do your firewalls allow external connections? E.g. to grab and parse external pages headlines? borfast Posted October 17, 2003 Posted October 17, 2003 Hi c0rtex. Yes, outgoing sockets are allowed but I don't know to which ports. Port 80 works but I'm not sure about other ones. I don't think there are any blocked outgoing ports but if you need to be absolutely sure, wait for someone else to answer this one. Oh, and I hope you'll join our family.
