Pickleweeds Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Hi I received this ticket today on one of my sites "During a security audit of accounts on this server, this account was found to have been compromised. Due to insecure scripts or permissions, files have been uploaded which allowed unauthorized access to files located inside this account. The following files & folders will need to be removed prior to unsuspending your account: /home/(changed)/public_html/gallery/g2data " I have been using gallery on this site for over a year. I recently did an update to the latest version Does anyone have any idea what I may have left unsecure. I am waiting for support to contact me back and I can't access the account yet, but I thought I would check here for any ideas. Thanks Joany Forgive me if this is in the wrong topic Quote

TCH-Bruce Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Welcome to the forums Joany You should have placed the g2data folder in your root folder. >/home/cpanelID/g2data Quote
Pickleweeds Posted August 15, 2007 Author Posted August 15, 2007 Thanks Don, Thomas and Bruce. I have some more questions now for you? When I move the g2data file to the root folder, do the permissions need to be set at 775 or something else. I have already moved the folder and I am changing my config.php file to reflect the move. You should have placed the g2data folder in your root folder. >/home/cpanelID/g2data Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 The "g2data" folder when in the /home folder should have 777 permissions as well as all folders that reside inside the "g2data" folder. Quote
