kjarrett Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Hi all, I'd like to set up my Wordpress blog to allow posting via email. It's explained here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Blog_by_Email I'm generally comfortable with cpanel ... is there a howto or faq somewhere? I searched and found a few threads but didn't locate what I needed. Thanks! -kj- Quote
TCH-Don Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 You can view the cronjob tutorial movie on the TotalChoiceHosting help site Then it looks like you would use the "php /full/path/to/wp-mail.php" in a cronjob as the command to run after you install the plug-in as per the page you linked to. kjarrett Posted February 12, 2007 Author Posted February 12, 2007 SUCCESS!!!! The only trick was having to enter in the WP setup page the the email username for the account I created as identified via cpanel: myusername+**** note the "+" sign... Initially I had just myusername there and it did not work. Now it does! Here's the proof! http://www.storyofmysecondlife.com/ Thanks! -kj- Quote
