Kimber Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 I can't seem to get my POP email accounts to connect to my outgoing server. I can receive email into the Mac's Mail program, but cannot send email out! Does anyone have a solution? Otherwise, I will need to change my hosting provider. Help! Thanks, Kimber Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Welcome to the forums Kimber You first need to authenticate yourself before you can send email. If you Internet provider is blocking access to port 25 you can try to use port 26. If both of those fail you will have to use your ISP's outgoing mail server. By authenticate I mean you have to log in to send email. Use your email address and password to login. Quote

Kimber Posted January 24, 2007 Author Posted January 24, 2007 Thank you all for the warm welcome! I appreciate it... Well, I think I've authenticated (by the acceptance of the incoming mail server's username and password), tried using different port numbers, and used my ISP's recommended outgoing server name. I still can't get it to work. Hmm. Is there anything else I could be doing wrong? Thanks. Best, Kimber Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 I'm glad it's solved. How about the solution? Quote
