allyronco Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Does anyone know if there is a file size limit on outgoing mail? I need to send a client a large attachment (14m) I get a message that it exceeds the limit. What is the limit - how can I find out? Any reply to this would be welcome. Thank you. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 There is no outgoing file limit imposed but there could be a limit on the size of file the intended receipient can receive. 14MB is in my opinion too large to send via email and if someone sent me a file that large I would hunt them down and hurt them. Whether I wanted the attachment or not. A good suggestion would be to upload the file to your web space and send the receipient an email with a link to download the file. Quote

Thanks for the suggestion; it is something that we are planning on doing in the future. 14mb is a large attachment, but it is required. Quote
TCH-Don Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Most ISP's have limits, check with their ISP The download is faster for both of you compared to email. Quote
