TCH-Bruce Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Welcome to the forums Walle Link works for me Quote
Madmanmcp Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 What do you mean by failed? Were you perhaps "banned" from the site for abuse? If you use it too many times in a short period you can be banned from the site for excessive use. See if this page has an expanation that fits. h_tp://banned.dnsstuff.com/pages/abuse.htm Quote

Your comments do not make any sense If you read my post and followed the link I gave. The link I posted is a DNS test on your (totalchoicehost) IP - if you paste the link you will see a full DNS test on the site.. it fails several key tests. The results are explained in detail - My question was to the mod about the results of the test. Or you can go to this link http://www.dnsreport.com/ and manually type in totalchoicehosting.com - my link does that for you. ******* I reran the test and it passed this time - on three attempts to run this test early this morning the test failed in several key areas***** Mad - your question still did not make any sense.. stevevan Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Without going into all the technical mumbo-jumbo (I'll let the tech & mods do that), I'd like to point out that you only ran a test on one of TCH's many servers. And the only 2 warnings I saw said something to the effect of "it appears that...". I'm sure TCH has much better controls in place. Think of it this way...would you want everyone in the world to know how your home security works and where your spare key is? If you decided to join TCH (which I HIGHLY recommend) I would keep an eye on this. Plus you can subscribe to the forum that corresponds to your server as announcements are always posted there. Good luck in your decision. Quote

So it is my nature to try and help and think of possible other answers to the questions being asked. Sometimes I get lucky, sometimes I fail. The link I posted is a DNS test on your (totalchoicehost) IP I'm just a user around here, not a part of TCH. Mad - your question still did not make any sense.. Sorry to bother you. TCH-Bruce Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Maybe if you explained what type of problems you've had in the past we can offer you an answer to your query. If you purchase a hosting account here at TCH you will not be placed on the machine that hosts totalchoicehosting.com so running DNS tests to that server really is of no use. I too am a customer here and have had sites hosted here for four years. I've never had any major problems with any of my sites and they are always reachable. Quote
