 Ok I'm pretty new to this stuff and I want to protect my images folder but can't seem to get password protection to work! I want to have an "access denied" when someone tries to look at my image folder.

Can someone help me please? *batting eyes*

Go to your cPanel.

Under 'Site Management' click on 'Web Protect'

Click on the name of the directory (folder) you want to protect.

Note: navigation is a bit confusing in the beginning when using cPanel's file manager. To navigate through directories click on the folder (not the name) to select a specific folder (or file for that matter) click on the actual name.

Give the resource a name (e.g. images) and add user name(s) with associated password(s).

Good luck.
