I know that with Apache it's possible in the httpd.conf file to limit access to a certain directory based on the IP address of the person visiting the website, and I had thought it was possible using .htaccess files as well. Does anyone know how I might go about setting that up for a particular subdomain? I already have www.foo.com, and I want to make semiprivate.foo.com be available to people who either have a password, or who visit from certain domains or IP addresses. Can I do that? Thanks.
