kmdini Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Someone or ones have taken my domain name and are using it to send spam. ie. there are a lot of returns from someoneidontknow@mytchdomainname.com. I'm getting several thousands of these in the span of a few minutes. Is there anything that I can do? Thanks. Quote
stevevan Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Ticket to the help desk would be a good start. Link is at the top of the forum. After that, I'd make sure you aren't running any old, outdated, or vulnerable scripts on your site that someone could use. Quote
kmdini Posted September 13, 2006 Author Posted September 13, 2006 Ok. Thanks. I removed one old email address I had as a link. I'm guessing that's where they got it. Quote
TCH-Don Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 I get the same thing now and then a Spammer spoofing my domain name. The headers will show if they came from your site or another site (spammer0. Include the headers when your open a a help desk ticket to the techs. Quote
annie Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Disable catch all e-mail. You can do that in cpanel. When you do that, the bounces will be rejected by the mailserver on your TCH server. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 How to disable your catch-all address: Select Default Address and set all of them (if more than one) to :fail: Quote
