innerzee Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 (edited) I've been a very happy TCH customer for a while now. I've now decided to move on up a little, offer webdesign and hosting. I'm planning on purchasing a reseller account. But I'm not quite sure how to go about accepting credit cards from my site. Is this what an SSL certificate is for? I'm not quite sure about how the SSL works. Is the SSL certificate included in the package, or do I need to purchase it, and if I do, can I purchase one from TCH? Do you offer shared SSL? Thanks in advance for your help, as always. Zee Edited September 1, 2006 by innerzee Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 In addition to the link Steve posted the virtual accounts have a shared SSL. Reseller accounts require that you purchase your own SSL certificate. Quote
innerzee Posted September 1, 2006 Author Posted September 1, 2006 Try here. Thanks, Stevevan. The link was helpful. Thank you as well, Bruce. It does seem kind high there, having to purchase a certificate, specially when one is starting out. And, there is another company that offers purchasing the cert thru them at half the price. Thing is, they are not TCH. *sigh* Guess I have some thinking to do. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 You do not have to purchase the certificate through TCH. You can purchase anywhere and have TCH install it for you and only pay the installation fee. And you will have to pay the installation fee every year. Quote
