gsrawr Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 I constantly use windows remote access from home to use my office computer. Instead of having to remember the IP address of my office computer, I would rather use my domain as a forwarder. Is there any easy way to do this through cpanel without using scripts? Thanks in advance. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Welcome to the forums qsrawr Why not sign up for one of those free domain forwarding services? If you forward your domain it will not display as it will then be pointing to your work machine. Quote

I don't want xxx.com to forward, rather a subdomain, say remote.xxx.com:6969 to forward to off.ip.addy.xxx:6969. The subdomain would only be accessed through the windows remote access program, so I just need that port to forward, not the entire domain, or sub domain even. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 I don't understand how your domain hosted on TCH relates to wanting to access your home computer from work or vice versa. What is it that you are actually trying to do? Quote
Madmanmcp Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 If you were on a dedicated server you could probably setup what you want. But on a shared server and no SSH access I don't think you can do it. There are other possible options if you search the web for remote access but they seem like a lot of work for what you are looking for. Quote
