Geuis Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 We're just migrating our web services to total choice. We have moved about 200 of our agent email addresses from our old host to here and I'm trying to setup an easy to use webmail interface for them. We only want them to use one interface, not two. We dont have the support staff resources to spend answering email questions all day. By default, when you log into webmail you get either the Horde or Squirrelmail options. Of the two, we prefer Horde's interface better. However, Horde is too complicated for our users and we are looking to make it a bit simpler to use. Like to delete files, you have to delete, then move them to the deleted folder. That's just silly. Ideally, the setup would be that if they go to http://webmail.****, it would prompt them to log in. Once logged in, it goes directly to the Inbox screen in Horde. Bypass the options to choose language and such. Another problem is that when the agents log out, it brings you to the login screen that then gives you the option to use Squirrelmail. We want to only be able to go to Horde. So, is there a way to customize Horde the way we want, or has someone had success installing a 3rd party webmail client on their website? If so, can you recommend some to try? Thanks, Charles @ Jordyn Taylor Properties Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 See if this solution is what you are looking for. Quote
TCH-Don Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 Yes there is, One of our family members BDR found this link http://www.nnexxezz.com/hbridge to have a link to horde login with out using cpael. its easy to set up and you can configure where the user will be taken after loggong out of horde. TCH-Bruce Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 Since the Horde in cPanel is running a shared version for all users of that server you cannot change the interface without affecting any of the other users on that server. Nor do you have access to the installation. If you want a webmail that can be modified you would have to install one into your account. Ok, the solution Thomas and Don suggest may work for you. Quote
Geuis Posted August 22, 2005 Author Posted August 22, 2005 thanks for the quick replies everyone. I'll look into the best solution for us. Charles Quote
Geuis Posted August 22, 2005 Author Posted August 22, 2005 I think I found another client I like. Where can I find the pop3/imap or relevant mail server info for totalchoice needed to configure it? Quote
