Ftp Interface

Hello everyone. I would appreciate some guidance. I am in the printing business and I would like to establish a simple browser based interface for my customers to upload / download files. Files are often 50 MB and larger. I am told there are 2 ways to do this:

1) PHP/ASP script, but file size is limited to about 20 MB. or 2) an upload component (DLL) which would have to be installed on the server.

Any guidance or source of information would be appreciated.

There is no need to double post, we read them all. I've merged both posts.

 

The TCH servers run Linux with no ASP support so ASP/DLL is out.

If you are using Firefox, I'd suggest using the FireFTP extension.

Just put in your .htaccess file in your public_html directory the following line:

 

 

php_value upload_max_filesize 75M

 

or whatever limit you need, but set a limit.

I am using Firefox but I'm not familiar with the FireFTP extension so I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the advice.
