duckierose Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 So, I get into my cpanel. And I go to file manager, since I grew up on geocities, and file manager was where all the work was done. I create a new file. I name it index.html I do the html I want. I save the file. The file is saved, but the information for it doesn't show a URL, while the preexisting files do. Where can I make and save the first page, that goes in www.mydomainname.com? I figure, once I can do that, I can create other pages without too much hassle. Am I missing somehting use? I went through the FAQ, and the posts here, and the help area, and didn't see anything addressing this. Quote
Madmanmcp Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 The index.html (and others) go under the public_html folder. Quote
TCH-Don Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Welcome to the Family duckierose and your new home! navigate with file manager by clicking on the folder icons and go into your public_html folder to save your public files. You can also use a free ftp program to upload. We really are like family here. So if you need anything, just ask your new family! We love to help Quote
