wampthing Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Has anyone used Jalbum? Its a rather intuitive program (free) that can be used to create a photo album. It seems almost easier than installing coppermine or gallery. Does anyone have an opinion on the matter? I set my kid brother up with it and its easy enough for him to work with. His page is at *ttp://todd.jensenconnection.com. Quote
TCH-Don Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 It looks interesting, nice features, but it looks like it requires java, not everyone has jave enabled. I will have to look at it some more later. Quote
egaffne Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Hey, after doing a lot of looking into a bunch of different gallery options I decided that Singapore (http://singapore.sourceforge.net) would actually be the best solution for me. Both Coppermine and Gallery were just a little more than I really needed or desired in a gallery solution. I also didn't really like the "pre-packaged" feel and design of Coppermine or Gallery. I needed something really easy to customize and integrate fully into the design of my site, and I found just that with Singapore. You can check out what I've done with it here: http://www.fuzzyrhino.com/gallery/ Just a note about using Singapore: it is very simple and straight-forward to install and use, but I would suggest uploading pictures via FTP rather than the Admin page, as uploading files through PHP limits transfers to only 2 or 3 Mb at a time, I can't remember which...
