I would like to install Copermine 1.3.0 as my web gallery. I am not sure if all of it dependencies are supported, particularly 'GD lib'. The dependencies are as follows:

Installation

What are the minimum requirements for the use of Coppermine 1.3.0 ?

any webserver, Apache recommended (Coppermine has been reported to work with Apache, Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS), Roxen WebServer, Abyss, JanaServer)

PHP 4.1.0 or better

GD lib or Image Magick

mySQL 3.23.23 or better (4.x recommended). Don't confuse the client api version (which is shown in phpinfo) with the mySQL version!

A link to Coppermine follows at:

I would love any help on this

Please feel free to move this if I've posted in the wrong forum.

Hi and welcome to your extended family

I can tell and summrize all that by personal experience, in to one short answer,

Coppermine works very well on the TCH servers.

If I dont remember completely wrong it will tell automatically if to use imagemagick or gd in installation.

One advice though is to install the latest version (1.3.2 I believe).

Feel free to ask if any problems. :)

That is really wonderful. I was not sure about it, and I'm really glad that you guys have kept an eye out on any 'eventualities'. I'm not an expert at such things, but I can depend on some 'over-the-shoulder' help.

And thank you for the welcome. I've somehow become alienated from my former registration, but that is not too important.

:) Welcome to the Family Alex

and your new home!

When you get to the part needing the path to ImageMagic just leave it blank

that worked for me.

We really are like family here.

So if you need anything,

just ask your new family!

We love to help :)
