Alex-A Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 I would like to install Copermine 1.3.0 as my web gallery. I am not sure if all of it dependencies are supported, particularly 'GD lib'. The dependencies are as follows: Installation What are the minimum requirements for the use of Coppermine 1.3.0 ? any webserver, Apache recommended (Coppermine has been reported to work with Apache, Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS), Roxen WebServer, Abyss, JanaServer) PHP 4.1.0 or better GD lib or Image Magick mySQL 3.23.23 or better (4.x recommended). Don't confuse the client api version (which is shown in phpinfo) with the mySQL version! A link to Coppermine follows at: http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/faq.php#WhatIsGD I would love any help on this Please feel free to move this if I've posted in the wrong forum. Alex Quote
LisaJill Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Yes, all of that is supported, and we have several people running Coppermine successfully. =) Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Hi and welcome to your extended family I can tell and summrize all that by personal experience, in to one short answer, Coppermine works very well on the TCH servers. If I dont remember completely wrong it will tell automatically if to use imagemagick or gd in installation. One advice though is to install the latest version (1.3.2 I believe). Feel free to ask if any problems. Quote
Alex-A Posted December 9, 2004 Author Posted December 9, 2004 That is really wonderful. I was not sure about it, and I'm really glad that you guys have kept an eye out on any 'eventualities'. I'm not an expert at such things, but I can depend on some 'over-the-shoulder' help. And thank you for the welcome. I've somehow become alienated from my former registration, but that is not too important. Alex Quote
