Subdomain W/o Url Redirection

I would like to know if it's possible to have a subdomain without redirection?

 

for instance, I set up the following subdomain

 

domain1.site.com -> www.site.com/domain1

 

However, when I type in "domain1.site.com", my url in the location bar changes to "www.site.com/domain1". I do not want the url to change, is this possible?

You need to use cPanel and let it create the subdomain. Using redirection it will change the URL.

 

When you create a subdomain in cPanel it will create a folder of the same name in your public_html folder.

 

So if you have your folder "domain1" already created rename it. Then go into cPanel and create a subdomain called "domain1". After it's done copy the contents of the renamed folder to "domain1" and it will work as you desire.
