stiffler Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Hey, I am new to this so I was wondering if you can help me with a problem. I can't open my AOL software. I try to system restore but it doesn't open. I think it is avirus but my anti-virus software doesn't work. Yes I have a cheap computer . Also, I have dial-up and was wondering if I can go on AIM without having to sign on AOL. If you can help I'd really appreciate it. Sorry if I posted in the wrong section. Thanks! Quote
Madmanmcp Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 Yes you can run AIM without logging into AOL...ONLY if you have some other way to connect to the internet. Everyone in my family using AIM and we are not AOL members anymore, we have a cable connection. As for your restore problem I don't have enough information, but if the system restore has not been turned on there will be nothing to restore. The easy way to fix the AOL software is to find an AOL CD and just reinstall. [thinks this may be a flyby] Quote
