Movable Type Install Problem

Hey everyone, I'm pretty new at this so please excuse my ineptness. I'm trying to install movable type and I'm getting the following error when I try to execute mt-load.cgi:

Unsupported driver MT::ObjectDriver::DBI:mysql: syntax error at (eval 3) line 1, near "use MT::ObjectDriver::DBI:"

 

Does anyone know what might be causing this problem? Any help is much appreciated.

What's your mt-check.cgi say? What lines did you add to mt.cfg and did you put in a plain password in mt-db-pass.cgi?

The mt-check.cgi said that everything is installed and ok to go.

 

In mt.cfg I put in the following lines for the database info:

ObjectDriver DBI::mysql

Database wasedal_mt

DBUser wasedal_admin

DBHost localhost

 

My domain hasn't proliferated yet so I'm still using the IP:

http://67.15.16.5/~wasedal/WL/

could that be a problem?

 

As for my password, it's VERY simple.

i was looking at some other posts and by putting line breaks in at the end of the database parameters it worked fine.
