Sql Tutorial

I am new to SQL and PHP and I am trying to install PHPnuke on my site hosted at TCH. Does anyone know where to get a good tutorial for absolute beginners? I was trying to create new database in PhpMyAdmin but it keeps saying "Access denied for user: '...@localhost' to database '...2_xmb1'

Can anybody help me with this? I am out of ideas...

u are probably using the wrong database name and/or loginname.

if you are on shared hosting, your username is automatically prepended to the names which you choose like userid_YOURDB userid_LOGINNAME.. (you choose these names when u created the db and assigned a user to them in cpanel)

 

check to see if u got that right first..

I found that I didn't need PHP and MySQL installed on my own machine--I probably will do so eventually, but for the time being, I've just been running things on the site. (In a test environment I've set up in a subdomain)
