Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I'm looking for some information concerning how much to charge for the creation of a website. My school is looking to implement a campus-wide calendar that anyone can update. It would be tailored to the school, with login, all that jazz. I have background in php/mysql but I've never built the site for someone that I had to charge. Is there some sort of standard or some approximate rule that would help me? I know this is probably variable but any ballpark would really help. I would really appreciate any input! -Bennett

Hello again TCH world, I am about to add some functionality to my site and want my users to be able to insert information in html format (by use of TinyMCE or something similar) which will then be used as actual pages. I'm somewhat new to data storage with mySQL and am wondering whether it would be better to save these large amounts of text as separate text documents or as SQL entries. This is probably an easy question, I just wanna know the best way to handle this kind of stuff. For some reason, I am hesitant to add lg amounts of data to my databases. Thanks guys, Bennett

Where would I find these error messages? I looked all around cpanel and couldnt find anything. I actually just tried to enter a data entry and now it works. Maybe if data entry exceeds a rate the error would occur?

Hello everyone, I have been adding sql data over the last day for a new part of my site and all of a sudden was unable to add additional entries. I'm not sure what the reason is, as I haven't received any emails, have only used 1% bandwith, and only have 150kb data in my databases. I am new to mysql so there may be something I'm missing with database formation, classification, etc. Thanks a lot! Bennett

Thanks a bunch! I can upload the files now but when I try to write to the log file I get another error. Any ideas? I set the permission of /upload/ to 777 but I still get the same thing. Do I need to do this to another folder/file or are fwrite and fclose allowed? Thanks again, Bennett
