frankaskew Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 How long will it take for my account to be setup? (ordered 4/19/2004) Can I get the dns information so that I can go ahead and setup my nameservers? Frank Quote
TCH-Don Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 Did you get a recipt e-mail from the place you paid? Most plans are set up within one to six hours after the account has been paid for. If it's been longer than that, and you still haven't received a word from us, let us know! Quote
frankaskew Posted April 21, 2004 Author Posted April 21, 2004 Paid here and never got an e-mail. CC Went through and I am just waiting for something. This is for the domin 1stdivisionalabama.us. Frank Quote
TCH-Don Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 Since you got a recipt for the charge, then try the link I posted, for an support tech on line or put in a help ticket. Quote
kaseytraeger Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 Can I get the dns information so that I can go ahead and setup my nameservers? Frank, I bought my domain name here (through the link on the TCH web site). If I remember correctly, the DNS nameservers were pre-set to NS1.totalchoicehosting.com and NS2.totalchoicehosting.com. I didn't have to do a thing. Once your account is set up, I would think you're good to go. I remember it being very easy and taking no more than a few hours for account set up and about one day for DNS propogation. Quote
TCH-Rob Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 Remember DNS propagation can be from 24 to 72 hours, make sure to give it at least that long before starting to worry. Quote
ThumpAZ Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 There are typically only a few reasons that your account setup takes more tan a couple of hours. The main one is billing problems. Since your card went through (If I am not reading too much into this), that is not the problem. The other could be that the email address you used is over quota, or not getting mail for some other reason. If it is like mine, you doin't get a lot of email there. Try sending yourself an email to yourself from a different email service and see that you get it. Another reason is the remote possibility of a failed send internally. If, by the time you read this, you have not gotten all fo your info, open a Help Desk ticket and those guys will jump right on it. Quote
