hatmaker
Hi I have a new site and would like to be a member of the TCH family. I have added a link to TCH on my sites homepage. url: Home , m34caps.com The Site name is M43 Caps.com My site I offers M-43 caps and original WWII German militaria etc. If you have time to rank my site, that would be great but not needed, I know that takes time and there are a lot of other more important issues to deal with here. What a great place this is! No wonder its so busy! Thanks, Brent PS. I'm not sure I made the link to my url properly! I hope I did it right! ??? TCH-Sales
Alright got you added to the list. It should be up in tonight's fresh upload. PageRank Eval. Title: Instead of "HOME" You should use the name of your site, and a little description of your site in a nutshell. Meta-tags: Good! Navigation: Easy to understand. Clean and simple! Content: Lots of good stuff here. You might try to clean up some of your HTML code, make sure you don't have any redundant tags (like two font color equals in a row) other than that, good stuff. hatmaker
Thank you Mitch! I changed "home" to the sight name. I don't know anything about HTML code, so maybe I can change something in my CSB to improve it. There's always room for improvement and I still have much more to learn! Thanks for your time and insight and congrats on the new or extra duties, it seems you are off to a good start! Tell the boss I said to give you a raise! , Brent
Deverill
Hi Brent! For the best Search Engine effect, you should find a couple of keyword phrases that you thinks folks looking for your site would use and optimize for that. Although the title being your site name is correct, it won't help you in the search engines unless someone is looking for you by name and then they can just type your URL. In looking at your "keyword" meta tag I see that you have a bunch of terms. You would do much better to take the 2 or 3 phrases you think are best and use them. Maybe something like "German war caps" (I'm not up on your particular product so I don't know what people will be looking for.) You should also use those key phrases in strategic places such as <H1> (header) tags and throughout your text on your page. Also, read through the Website Promotion Tutorials. hatmaker
OK, Thanks Jim, The words and phrases are pretty much the most common ones that I know the collectors and reenactors use and getting some hit from them but I can try some new terms too, you never know what words people are going to search! I don't know anything about HTML code, I only know how to use CuteSite builder but can keep working to improve the site with the CSB and by viewing the sorce so I can see how the changes I make effect the HTML code for each page, maybe I'll learn more about html over time. Thanks for all the help and ideas! Thumbs Up , Brent
hatmaker
OOPS! Could someone please help me correct this mistake? My site was accepted ito the family but my statement says: My site I offers M-43 caps and original WWII German militaria etc. Could you please change it to say: This site offers quality M-43 caps and original WWII German militaria etc. Also, I think the site was added to the nonprofit page but I do sell things. Sorry to make more work for busy folks, Thanks again for the excellent service, great people really make the TCH difference!
