DarqFlare
There isn't any listing of non-page files and their bandwidths in AWStats... Sorry. Edited March 12, 2004 by TCH-Robert
guita01
look at the referring stats. It may be that someone has remote linked some gifs from your site and posted them on another high traffic site.
Wilexa
When traffic takes off suddenly, it could be due to several things. (hotlinking, a new inbound link, publicity, etc.) Your best bet is probably to download the raw log files and browse through them in a text editor or spreadsheet. It's a pain, but if it is costing you money, then it might be worth it. Look for some of the larger GIFs that you may think are responsible for the bandwidth, then check the referer. If they are called from a page outside your site, then you have a hotlinking problem. Also, there are other web log anaylzers out there beside AWstats, you may want to process your logs through one of them. HTH, dave
sts
I believe if you click Refering sites - Links from an external page (full list), you will find out. If you see Pages - none and Hits - a lot that's hotlinking most likely click the url to make sure [or maybe it's googlebot, stealing your pictures for its gallery ]
