In a long thread that has new posts, is there a way to have the newest posts come up first, rather than having to scroll down?

Not really but you could use the "View New Posts" feature at the top right hand corner of the forums.

The little down-arrow to the left of the Topic will take you to the posts you haven't read yet. I've never seen a way to change the order. :)

When you are looking at the list of subjects in a forum (not when you are reading a thread).... there's an icon next to the subject of threads that have messages you haven't read yet. That icon is the arrow (click on it instead of the subject).

There is probably an Option that TCH can set which will reorder the notes and display the most current note on the top and work backwards down the list. Now most folks don't like this since you will have to read backwards in the "thread" to find the note you left off on and then read UPwards.

The current format is easier IMHO.

In the topic list, the far right column, "Last Action," is a hotlink to the last post in the thread, You can click on it and scroll up from there if you want.

I never thought of that arrow as a link, just a marking thing.  :(

psssst... don't tell anyone, but neither did I until btrfld mentioned it... ;)

I had suggested Mike a nice mod that places a tiny image on top of each post. If you've read the post, then the image will be simply white. If the post is new since the last time you visited that thread, then the image will be blue/purple.

I'll ask Mike or Mitch if they can install it again.
