HCSuperStores
Dear Support, I like what you appear to have going on here. This has been the environment that I've been looking for. However, I have some technical requirements. So even the most freindly hosting service won't work if they can't meet my technical needs. I'm look at signing up for a reseller account. I need a place to host mutliple domains and allow them to share the system while still allowing seperate domain names. The WH and C-panel provides this. 2 hang-ups have plagued me so far though. 1) SSL - I may need multiple SSL certificates for my clients. I need to know what the process is that you offer through SSL. Some companies lock you into a certain pricing structure with their own certificate provider, even though WH has the ability to establish your own. Then they charge an installation price for something that is automated most everywhere else. What do you guys do? 2)SSH - Although I could live without it, it has become a LIFE SAVER when the need arises to debug and fix software issues ... and it can be done in no-time. I'm a VIP user and make changes to my code as needed using this method. Please help and answer these questions quickly. I'm making a choice in the next couple of days and you would help me out greatly if you gave some positive answers! If the technical issues work out, from what I've seen we'll get along famously! Thank you! Bill
TCH-Rob
Bill, You have 2 choices on your SSL. You can get it here or you8 can get it elswhere, it doesnt have to be through us. There is an installation fee of $35 per SSL though. As for SSH, not on regular accounts, I am not sure about it on reseller accounts. Someone with the answer to that question will be along in a few to answer that.
Head Guru
We do not offer SSH to any virtual hosting clients.
TCH-Rick
Rob is correct on the SSL. We do not allow users to set up SSL in the WHM. We accidentally enabled it on an account once and the user set it up wrong and crashed the server for an hour while we sorted it back out. SSH is not allowed on any account including reseller accounts.
Head Guru
All our virtual servers have a shared ssl. Our resellers servers do not offered shared SSL.
HCSuperStores
Why the $35? I thought the WHM automated the process of installation? -- Ok .... understood. I'll wait to hear your answer on the SSH. What has been the concern with SSH? I thought I read somwhere on your site that you were letting people use it and then took it away. What happened? HCSuperStores
Sorry for the overlap ... the responses are coming quicker than my screen refreshes!
HCSuperStores
That's really not good news about the SSH. Hmm ... What was the problem that it had to be taken away?

TCH-Sales
Yes there were major security issues with it, and we did try just about ever work around in the book but once it was all said and done, the best protection for us and our clients was removing it all together.
