Arta
ok, so here's my deal. I know that forums have to be top level within the page... but what I am wondering is if i can have my forum in a subdomain instead of my domain... i have a forum at http://www.artamishia.com/forums but would love it at http://writing.artamishia.com/forums instead, is it possible and how hard is it to move over? rayners
It is definately possible! First of all, you need to create your subdomain in CPanel. Then, through the File Manager (or possibly in FTP?), move your forums directory into www/writing (i.e. there should be a www/writing/forums directory when your done, containing all of the files from there). Finally, through phpBB's admin panel, change all occurences of www.artamisha.com to writing.artamisha.com. It's been a while since I last played with phpBB, but I believe there should only be one or two places in which you need to make that change. Remember, though, it may take a little while (perhaps a day or so) for your new subdomain to propogate. That should do it!
