Restricting Browse Access Using Frontpage

Recommended Posts

How do you set permissions to limit browse access using Frontpage 2000? I've followed the instructions and opened my site “live” to add users, but I keep getting the error: “Server error. Error removing one or more users: the following user names do not exist: . . .”

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Totalchoicehosting.com does not recommend making modifications to the .htaccess file if you have Frontpage installed. Any modifications to your .htaccess file can corrupt your extensions and render your Web site inaccessible. A backup copy of your .htaccess file should be made before modifying this file.
