George Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 Suddenly I'm getting this message anytime I try to send e-mails using my account... Maybe someone can help me solve this issue? I have checked and double checked the server address (SMTP) but every thing seems OK. Other accounts work OK but with this specific account I still get this message: Task 'myusername@e-mailaccount.com Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : Outlook is unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) server. If you continue to receive this message contact your server administrator. Rock Sign Thanks in advance for any help. George Quote
TCH-Don Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 Hi George! I ran into something similar recently, I discovered that my Internet Provider had started to block port 25 for sending email from my site. Sending with the account from my ISP worked ok. So I changed the port to 26 for the one that I use to send from my site, and it works fine now. Maybe this is what has happened to you? Quote
